RFD-TV Unveils NASCAR Marketing Plans
Joins Forces with Baker Curb Racing on #37 Car
NASHVILLE, Tenn – RFD-TV will begin a new national marketing campaign at the Daytona International Speedway on July 4th with the running of its first-ever sponsored car in association with Baker Curb Racing at the NASCAR Nationwide Winn-Dixie 250 powered by Coca Cola. The race begins at 7:30pm (eastern) time, and will be carried “live” on ESPN 2.
The campaign is designed to raise awareness of the expanded distribution and availability now with all major cable operators of the company’s two 24-hour television channels, RFD-TV and RFD HD, along with the recent additions of high-profile and Nashville-based major programming to the network’s schedule. This first effort, driven by Brad Baker, will display the logos of Crook & Chase, Imus In The Morning, and Ralph Emery “LIVE” while featuring the RFD-TV logo prominently on the yellow and red #37 car.
The race will also serve to announce a new show, Music & Motors, coming to RFD-TV in September. The weekly show will combine Nashville music and NASCAR features and is being produced by Baker Curb Racing, who will be filming an episode at the July 4th Daytona event to air later this year. The Music & Motors logo will also be on the RFD-TV car.
“We could not think of a better way to launch our new national advertising campaign than combining a car at Daytona on the 4th of July with a national television audience,” stated Patrick Gottsch, Founder and President of RFD-TV, LLC. “We are so proud to be associated with Gary Baker and Mike Curb, who’s vision to combine two of rural America’s passions, Nashville music and NASCAR racing, into a new weekly television show is another stroke of genius. We have no doubt that Music & Motors is going to be a huge success on RFD-TV and RFD HD”.
“We are very excited to team up with RFD-TV and continue building on this new relationship. Not only are we thrilled to have RFD-TV on the #37 Ford Fusion during the Winn-Dixie 250 at Daytona International Speedway, but we are also looking forward to taping the first episode of Music & Motors,” stated Gary Baker. “RFD-TV is Rural America’s Most Important Network; rural America is where NASCAR began and that is where I was born and raised so this is a natural fit. With Baker Curb Racing and RFD-TV being based out of Nashville, Tennessee this is a great combination and partnership.”
